Deccan Chargers won the 2nd Edition of the IPL

The second edition of the Indian Premier League to be held in India according to the plans, but the central elections across the country meant that the Government has refused to ensure the safety of the IPL. This means that the tournament has to be shifted in the country and they were held in South Africa.


There are eight sides which played in the second edition of the World Cup, even those who had played in the first edition of the tournament. It was notably Indians in Mumbai, Delhi Daredevils, Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, chargers Deccan and Rajasthan Royals Kings XI Punjab.
Punjab were eliminated at the beginning, while the Mumbai Indians is also struggling to move forward. However, the worst performers were the runners of Kolkata Knight, who had changed their captain Sourav Ganguly to Brendon McCullum.
McCullum found hot things to manage from the beginning and the side went from a loss to another and pushed for eighth place at the end of the tournament. They hardly had a victory to their name and Ganguly was restored as captain at the time that the third edition of the tournament had begun.


Delhi to a urban Deccan Chargers that proliferate in the semi-finals and was overtaken by an innings by Adam Gilchrist would have stunned into submission. In the other semi-final, Royal Challengers Bangalore, has been taking Chennai Super Kings. Chennai, the custom of having Dhoni as their skipper were Favorites but Kumble takes him and his side of the tournament.


In the final, Deccan Chargers played in Bangalore and the game dropped to the wire. Bangalore had the first blood when Gilly was launched at the beginning, but clawed through some good and frappeurs of Herschelle Gibbs captaincy to win the game for their side. Times, Deccan and Bangalore, alongside Delhi is qualified for the Champions League T20
